High Hopes Sketch Challenge

Whew, I finally got around to it! This sketch challenge from High Hopes which I had planned on doing since the day it was posted.

Both the image and sentiment are from High Hopes. I colored this image with Prismas and oms on Neenah Solar Crest white cardstock. It's nice and smooth and one of my favorites to use with Copics. I sponged around the panel and sentiment tag with Distress ink in Scattered Straw and Walnut Stain. I layered it with patterned paper from Basic Grey's Archaic line. The base card and ribbon are from PTI and the adorable little fish I saved from a gift bag someone gave my son a present in. I've probably had it for 2 years but I knew someday he's be a perfect touch on one of my projects. There is Diamond Glaze and glitter on the water and drops although you don't see it in the photo. A few highlights here and there with a Ranger Inksentials pen and voila!

My son the art critic told me the bobber (the floatey thingy on the end of the fishing line) is supposed to be red and white, and he would have liked the card better had I colored it properly. Hmph! I think it's called a bobber...or I might have just made that up. Sounds good.

Happy Friday!
