I received an email from Tammy Hershberger last week asking if I would be interesed in joining the Color Throwdown team...I am so excited to have been asked to join this group! Oh, I said "yes", but you probably knew that already...
This is my first challenge and I jumped on it the minute I was asked to join. This week's challenge are such pretty colors to work with. Mellow Moss, Very Vanilla, and Baja Breeze, and they were perfect for the winter theme I was going for. I don't have SU! paper so I subsituted Bazzill cardstock.
The image is Moriah from High Hopes Stamps. She is just too cute in her snow bib! It's quite a large image and the card didn't need too much with her as the focal point. I colored her with Copics and mounted on some Basic Grey Archaic dp. I used a Martha Stewart snowflake and branch punches to add embellishments to the sentiment and corner. I also used Marvy Liquid applique on her pompom for some texture. Hey, I even photographed the Copics I used in case anyone was interested...I'd seen other's do that so I figured I'd give it a go. Then I realized that one should really put them all in the same direction (as in name upright) so everyone can read them. One should also probably give the name of those Ciao markers whose names are not on the cap... Ok, I need some practice.
This is a group of fun ladies and I really had a great time while figuring out how to get started. I am looking forward to lots of fun with this! Make sure you check out the Color Throwdown blog to see all of the wonderful creations! Have a great day!
