Pond Life

Wow, I am so disapointed with how these photo's turned out! These are much nicer irl! It was late and I was rushing to get the pictures done so I could post them. My cat has decided that the best place to nap these days is inside of my lightbox...so you can imagine the hair stuck to the white fabric which is my backdrop! What a mess...I clean it and then she gets in it again when I leave. I guess I will have to collapse it after each use. Anyway, here are two quick cards I made using the Pond Life set from Papertreyink.

There are so many great images but Nichole wanted to see what everyone was doing with the caterpillar so I started with that one. I stamped the image twice on PTI white cardstock and cut the body segments out of one and popped it up on the main image. I put Stickles Icicle glitter all over each segment and used a turquoise Spica on his antennae. I made the background using the PTI Out On A Limb set. I stamped the branch in Aqua Mist and two sets of leaves each in Spring Moss. I did it haphazardly (is that word?!) and I really like the casual look. I added a bit of Sakura stardust sparkle to the leaves. I stamped the sentiment from the matching set to Pond Life.

This one above I used the same set and stamped the turtle with Aqua Mist and Spring Moss. I thought his spots got lost on his shell so I decided to add some Stickles in Patina to make them more bold. I used my oval Nestabilities and popped the panel up on foam dots. The bottom of the green panel I edged with my Martha Stewart decorative edge punch. The background of the green panel is stamped with swirls from Hero Arts in Spring Moss. The ribbon and sentiment also from PTI.

This is a great set...so versatile! I'm sure I will be using it a lot! Happy Tuesday!

Love this Danielle! VERY ingenious how you did the background!! I LOVE new ways to make your own designer paper! I don't have this set either - you are making it very difficult to stay on the budget - who am I kidding!!? LOL!
