Color Throwdown Tuesday?!

I am just a little early this week…but I didn’t want to miss posting my Color Throwdown challenge this week since I wasn’t able to participate last week. LeAnne picked this really pretty color combo!

CTD110

I think these Lili of the Valley images lend themselves so well to water colors, and it’s a medium I haven’t used in while…so I pulled out my Distress Re-Inkers and SU re-inkers and went to town! This is James the Bear in the Snow. Shhh...he's a girl on this card, let call him Jane!

I stamped the image on Canson water color paper with Versafine black ink. After I painted the image I went over the scarf and hat with Twinkling H2O’s in Passion and Jasmine. I added lots of glitter around the image and the snow is Liquid Pearls with ultrafine glitter sprinkled on top. I used my Fleur De Lis Spellbinder dies to cut two squares and put them together to form a snowflake. The paper is a shimmery pink and almost a dead ringer for Pink Pirouette. It’s from a LSS that used to be in my town. The Razzleberry panel I spritzed with Shimmerz in Juneberry wine and some glitter spray. I added some gray lace and a piece of rustic cotton twine for some texture and several Basic Grey flat backed square gems on the corners and around the snowflake.

In the closeup you can see the sparkle which doesn’t always come through in photos.
