Love Filled Friday!

Today I have an new fairy image to share from A Day For Daisies.  This is one of a new collection of cuties in the February Club Kit.

Let me introduce you to Cute Fairy Waiting…

Isn’t she adorable?  I just love her!

After printing up this image I colored it with Copic markers.   I wet a corner of a piece of terry cloth with Blender Solution and dabbed it on her dress to add texture.

I printed the image again on heavy vellum, heat embossed, then cut out just the wings.   I painted the wings with Hologram glitter paint from DecoArt.  It’s a really fine glitter and her wings just shimmer!  I colored her wings underneath pink so the color just peeks through.   I left a little tab on the end of the vellum wings when I cut them out, and cut a slit in the image where her wings meet her back.  I slipped the vellum tab through the slit and taped it down on the back of the panel. This fixed the wings in place but you don’t see any adhesive through the vellum…it also allows the wings to be popped up for added dimension.

I sponged Antique Linen Distress Ink on a heart shaped doily and mounted it all on patterned paper from the Recollection Valentine paper pad.  The sentiment is from Flourishes, stamped on heavy vellum.

  1. She's beautiful! I love how you did the wings. The nice thing about digis is that you can order an image and have it immediately. That's come in handy for me a few times.
