Over the Moon

Hello all my freezing friends!  Yeah, and those who are enjoying warm sunshine too…I’m jealous!  It’s a high of 12 degrees today, so I might be a bit cranky :)
Here’s my second card from the new image release A Vintage Valentine from A Day For Daisies.   This is also a challenge week, so join us for the Pink and Red challenge.
Meet Love in the Night.  Aren’t they a sweet romantic couple!

I printed the image on kraft paper then colored it with Prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits.  Then added in some wispy clouds with Cloud Blue and Periwinkle.  After blending the pencil I painted over the moons with Shimmerz in Angel Wings.  I also painted over the hearts with Twinkling H2O in Ruby Red.
I used a Martha Stewart border punch for the heart border and the patterned paper is MME Blush from the Lost and Found collection.  I stamped the sentiment (Flourishes)on a scrap and added some hearts that are positives from the border punch.
The design team has fabulous samples this week with these wonderful images, so check them out below!
And don’t forget to head over to the ADFD blog and join this weeks challenge!  Thanks for stopping by and keep warm!

  4. Fabulous Valentine card. We are a bit warmer today but the winds are up to 50 mph. Wind chills are brutal. It is to get really cold by Monday a.m. again. Thinking Spring is still too far away! Stay warm, hugs....

  5. That is a very cool card, Danielle! I love the two moon faces with all those hanging hearts. Great Valentine! BTW, it's unnaturally sunny and warm here. Our winter is weird this year and it's got me worried.
