For My Mom

This week at A Day For Daisies we are choosing one of our favorite images for a mother’s day card.  I have always admired this beautiful image and finally got a chance to color it up.
This is Braid In My Hair.  Isn’t she beautiful?

After printing the image I colored it with Copic Markers.  I then shaded around it with Prismacolor Pencils and oms…unfortunately I find it difficult to see in the photos.  It’s a nice light blue green that compliments the paper.  I also sponged around the edges of the image panel with Antique Linen Distress Ink.   I used Curved Rectangles from Spellbinders to die cut the sentiment (Flourishes) and sponged with Antique Linen with the die still in place.
The patterned paper is from the MME The Sweetest Thing-Tangerine pad.  I added a button with coordinating twine and a   few flowers from Recollections to finish it off.
Well, now I just have to come up with a gift to go with my card…no easy feat!  Wish me luck!  Lets see your Mother’s Day cards too…ADFD has so many beautiful images to choose from.  Check out the fantastic creations from our design team!
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous weekend!
