Friday Focus

Hello friends and happy Friday!  Today’s Flourishes Focus is on What A Catch.  This is a great masculine set geared towards the fisherman in your life.
I began by stamping the trout image on Flourishes Classic White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloring it with Copic markers.

I stamped the image a second time, colored the fish, and cut it out popping it up over the original.   I cut out the original with a Classic Circles large die from Spellbinders and sponged with Distress ink in Antique Linen with the die still in place.
The patterned paper is from Kaisers Hunt and Gather pad and it’s finished simply with some ivory jute and a button.
If you need a little more inspiration for this set, all you need to do is click HERE (http://flourishes.org/gallery/?cat=186) and travel over to the Flourishes Gallery. Perfect inspiration for the guys in your life!
Don’t forget to visit all of the talented design team ladies and leave some love!  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful holiday weekend!

I absolutely love this card. I like the realistic fish and the colors you chose for the mats. The papers are awesome and I loved how the fish pops! The button and banner with the sentiment are just perfect.

I’d like to go to your blog more usually but currently it seems to be taking forever to return up.

I visit from work, and our connection there is fairly good.
Do you assume the problem may very well be in your finish?
